My Philosophy

When I was growing up, I saw multiple rehabs up close and personal. Watching a professional work with my brother, I was drawn to physical therapy as I wanted to help others return to what they love to do. I am passionate about treating a variety of patients with different diagnoses. I enjoy working with the orthopedic and sport populations. I believe helping patients is a rewarding journey, not only for me, but for the patient as well. Together, we build an environment that encourages trust, hope, dedication, and teamwork to help patients reach their goals.

Education is a very important aspect in a person’s rehab. The more people know about why they hurt, the more effective their rehab will be. I am a good listener and committed to hearing patients’ thoughts, concerns, and background. I am passionate about finding the best treatment interventions, so I can help my patients achieve their goals.

My treatment interventions are largely based on the best research in our field. In addition, I am a certified manual therapist, and believe our hands can be the best tools for restoring tissue health and function. Each patient is unique and different – so no treatments are the same. Everyone benefits from an individualized treatment plan. Throughout a patient’s journey in physical therapy, we learn from each other. I look forward to hearing my patients’ stories and working alongside them in this process.

My Background

I grew up in northwest Illinois and attended college at St. Ambrose University in Davenport. After graduating with my B.S. in Exercise Science, I received my doctorate of physical therapy also from St. Ambrose. After physical therapy school, I continued my education with a post-graduate manual orthopedic residency program through St. Ambrose University and Genesis Health Systems. I finished my residency as a Certified Manual Therapist (CMT) in January, 2021, and since also received my board certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) in July, 2021.

When I am not treating patients, you will find me playing a variety of sports: golf, baseball, basketball, and hockey. I am an avid sports fan. If I am not busy with sports, I enjoy spending time and visiting with family and friends.
