My Philosophy

I’m passionate about helping people return the form of movement is most joyful and meaningful to them – whether it’s getting up and down off the floor to play with grandchildren, running a marathon, or anything in between. I believe physical therapy is about treating the whole person through creating a space where each patient feels heard, and providing treatment and education tailored to the individual. I hope to foster a collaborative environment where I can work with patients of all backgrounds to become better versions of themselves.

I am an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Pelvic Health Section. Professionally, I’m interested in all things pelvic health. This includes incontinence & prolapse in women, and a wide range of issues related to pregnancy.

My Background

I’m originally from Ames, Iowa but I am a proud graduate from the University of Iowa. I finished my undergraduate studies with a degree in Health and Human Physiology, and then went on to complete my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. When I’m not in the clinic, I enjoy spending time with my Husband, Jack, our golden retriever, Phoebe, and our two cats, Odie and Aphrodite. I enjoy yoga, playing board games, reading, and just about anything that gets me outdoors – including hiking, biking, skiing, and gardening.
