My Philosophy

My philosophy as a clinician is truly patient driven; I believe listening to patients is key in understanding their pain and determining a plan of care. Physical therapy should not be a cookie-cutter mentality and I feel patients appreciate when they are being heard. Furthermore, I enjoy the science and education behind PT and one of my favorite parts of my job is the opportunity to get the patient involved in their rehab so they can better understand and reduce a fear of their pain.

My Background

I completed my undergraduate degree at Mount Mercy University and then went on to get my doctorate in physical therapy at Clarke College in Dubuque. I enjoy working with all age ranges and diagnoses, and have particular interest in shoulder rehab and post-op recovery. I enjoy the art of Physical Therapy and molding my skills to each person. I take pride in my ability to listen and genuinely understand a patient’s problem and pain.

Outside of work, I enjoy exercising, watching and being active in sports activities, and spending time with my husband and son. I am looking forward to continuing my journey of learning and progressing my skills so I can be the best therapist possible for my patients.
