My Philosophy

I believe in leaving things better than I found them, especially people. I lead with empathy and kindness and strive to exude these traits in my encounters with others. As a Clinical and Operations Assistant, I hope I can make each person’s day a little brighter as I help them through their health care journey. We can do great things as individuals, but we can accomplish much more together. I’m always happy to chat about your life, and I want to get to know you beyond your physical therapy care.  

My Background

I grew up in West Des Moines, IA, and moved to Iowa City to attend the University of Iowa. I graduated in December 2023 with my BA in Journalism and Mass Communication and Environmental Policy and Planning with a certificate in Sustainability. As a student, I worked at a residence hall’s front desk for two years, including a year where I supervised a team of desk clerks. I also have a background in reporting, writing, and storytelling with an emphasis on health care and the environment.
