Nicole Sturdevant, PT, DPT, OCS, CMT
My Philosophy
I am passionate about building relationships with people in all facets of life. I find this to be especially true in the realm of physical therapy. I strive to cultivate an environment that encourages trust, hope, dedication, and teamwork. I am an avid listener, and will be committed to hearing your thoughts and concerns about your impairments. I am devoted to finding the best treatment interventions for you, so that I can help you achieve your goals and return back to what you love doing.
My treatment interventions are largely focused on the best research in our field. In addition, I am a certified manual therapist, and believe that our hands can be our best tools for restoring tissue health. Aside from the research, I love to learn from my patients. Each patient is unique and will benefit from an individualized treatment plan. Throughout your journey in physical therapy, we will both learn from each other. I look forward to hearing your story and working alongside you in this process.
My Background
I grew up in Urbandale, Iowa, but have now lived on both sides of the state. I graduated from Morningside College in Sioux City, IA with my B.S. in Biology and Religious Studies. I received my doctorate of physical therapy from St. Ambrose University in Davenport. With physical therapy school coming to an end, I was still hungry to learn and dive deeper into the wealth of knowledge that PT has to offer. I was accepted into a post-graduate manual orthopedic residency program through St. Ambrose University and Genesis Health Systems. I finished residency as a Certified Manual Therapist (CMT) in January of 2020.
When I am not treating patients, you will find me at Busch Stadium cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals, reading in my hammock, running, cooking/baking, traveling to beaches or mountains, and visiting family and friends.
